Shon Bellah, Rick Sherer, Billy Chaffin, Tim Tumulty (Director of Public Works) and Curtis McAden accepted a proclamation from Mayor David Sweet in honor of National Public Works Week during the May 20 Rockwall City Council meeting.

(ROCKWALL-May 23, 2013) Rockwall Mayor David Sweet recently presented a proclamation to the city’s Public Works Department declaring the week of May 19-25 as National Public Works Week.  The Public Works Department, under the direction Tim Tumulty, is an integral part of residents’ everyday lives affecting health, safety and comfort.

Department employees provide and maintain the infrastructure and services that include the city’s water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems as well as streets and alleys. The department also provides planning, design and construction of those services.
