(Rockwall) May 27, 2013 –At the May meeting of the Friday Study Club, held recently at the Rockwall County Library,  outgoing President, Becky Cecil, presented the library an annual donation from the club.

Librarian Marcine McCulley accepted the contribution and thanked the organization for its continued support.

It was reported that the funds would be used for the library’s Children’s program.

Newly installed officers for 2013-2014: Becky Cecil – Parlimentarian; Nancy Hill – Assistant Reporter; Carolyn Duckworth – Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary; Martha Baker – Recording Secretary; Betty Moon – 2nd Vice President; Peg Smith – 1st Vice President; and June Frawley – President. Not pictured is Ruth Willis – Reporter.

Sharon Shannon, outgoing program chair, installed the newly elected officers.

Hostesses for the meeting were Carolyn Francisco, Kathy Melston and Charlene Norris.

The Friday Study Club was founded in 1919 and is the oldest women’s organization in Rockwall.
