(LAKE RAY HUBBARD-May 4, 2013) Numerous sightings of curious web-footed tracks are being reported area Lake Ray Hubbard, leaving residents clamoring over their origin.
After expert analysis, officials believe they belong to Flo-T Duck, the official mascot of the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta.
What sets these prints apart is that they appear to be dancing The Wobble, probably in anticipation of the two day, fun-filled, charity Duck Fest coming September 21-22 to The Harbor.
Blue Ribbon News tracked down Flo-T Duck, who was seen shaking her tail feathers at the Taste of Rockwall & Business Expo. Flo-T wouldn’t stop quacking about the Duck Dash 5K, the Arts & Crafts Vendor Fair, the Corporate Duck Beauty Pageant, the VID (Very Important Duck) Party – and of course, the second annual regatta which will send thousands of ducks splashing down the Harbor fountains in a race to the finish line.
“Best of all,” quacked Flo-T, “the Regatta benefits the Boys & Girls Club and Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County, so the whole community will be flocking to this spec-quack-ular event.”
Flo-T hinted she may make an appearance at the Founders Day celebration May 18 in downtown Rockwall.
