MusicFest’s Celebrity Roast to put Mayor in hot seat

(ROCKWALL-May 23, 2013) Rockwall Mayor David Sweet will be the subject of MusicFest’s Tenth Annual Celebrity Roast, a fundraising event that supports the Greater Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, May 24 with wine and a silent auction at Occasions at Stone River in Royse City. Dinner will be served at 7, followed by a live auction and the celebrity roast. Roasting Mayor Sweet will be Billy Quinton, Russ Childers, Kim Sweet, Brian Williams and David White.

Past “Roastees” of this popular event include Ralph Hall, Lori Grinnan, Dennis Bailey, Sheri Fowler, Kevin Fowler, Margie Hooper, Margo Nielsen, Scott Self and Mike Atkins.

The cost is $90 per person and corporate tables are $1,000. Seating is limited to the first 200.

Rockwall MusicFest is the production arm of The Greater Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra, a 55 member group comprised of North T exas’ professional musicians and local, talented musical youth. The orchestra looks forward to performing an evening of Americana on August 31, Labor Day Weekend, at The Harbor – supported by the City of Rockwall.
