(Rockwall) July 27, 2013 –Autumn Leaves of Rockwall – Alzheimer’s & Memory Care has been working tirelessly to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Their July 20th Garage Sale and Car Wash, held at Christian Brothers, raised more than $1,800 for the cause.
Autumn Leaves plans to follow up that successful fundraising event with a Motorcycle & Car Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3. There will be entertainment, raffle prizes, food, bounces houses and plenty of family fun for a good cause. The entry fee is $5 per adult; kids under 12 are admitted free.
In Rockwall County, there are a large number of elderly who are suffering from Alzheimer’s and the harsh affects it has on their families. Autumn Leaves is working desperately to get the word out to end this disease. Alzheimer’s not only takes your memories….it kills.
“It is my belief we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for our children and elderly. Our children because we must show them the way, our elderly, because they paved the way,” said Gina Lozano with Autumn Leaves.
Autumn Leaves is located at 225 E. Ralph Hall Parkway, Rockwall, Texas 75032.
