Keeping you informed: Around the clock lane closures on FM 740 in Rockwall
WHAT: Weather permitting, all traffic on FM 740 will be shifted to the southbound lanes with one lane in each direction for 24 hours a day from 8 a.m. on Monday, July 15, through 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17. At 8 a.m. on Wednesday, all traffic will be shifted to the northbound lanes for 24 hours a day through Saturday, July 20. These closures are necessary for Union Pacific Railroad track repairs.
WHERE: North and southbound FM 740 between I-30 and SH 205. Specifically, this will be just north of Yellow Jacket Lane and just south of Lakedale Drive.
WHEN: Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 through Saturday, July 20, 2013. Times for the traffic switches may change and if work finishes early, the entire road will be re-opened.
Motorists’ patience is appreciated during this closure. The closure is necessary for the safety of motorists and workers. Alternate routes are encouraged.
