(ROCKWALL-Sept 13, 2013) Everyone is invited to bring their pets on leashes, in an aquarium, cage or trailer any time between 4 and 6 p.m.  Sunday, Oct 6th for the Blessing of the Animals at First Presbyterian Church, 602 White Hills Drive in Rockwall (just off Ridge Road and Interstate 30 behind the water tower).

Rockwall Pets will hold an adopt-a-pet at the church and will be accepting donations of premium pet food, and unused pet medications, as well as monetary donations.

“As a pet-lover who has been blessed by so many wonderful animal companions in my life, I am excited to celebrate the amazing gift of love that God gives us in our pets.  I see this blessing as a chance to make the connection between the God who is love and the pets we are called to love — and who bring so much love into our lives,” said Pastor Cheryl Taylor. “This is an event for and a service to the entire community.  Everyone and their dog (or cat, or lizard) is welcome!”
