(Wylie) October 1, 2013 – The Wylie East Sapphires Drill Team wishes to thank the Wylie Fire Department, the community and a host of generous supporters for a fabulous pancake breakfast fundraiser.
The event was held Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fire Station #3, located at the intersection of Brown and W.A. Allen.
CVS, Kroger and Albertson’s in Wylie helped with donations, as did KFC, Burger King and Golden Chick. From Sachse, McDonalds and Whataburger stepped up to help make the benefit breakfast a success, raising more than $700 for the drill team. Funds will help provide scholarships for two graduating Wylie East Sapphire seniors.
The Wylie East Sapphires are directed by Brittany Miller.
