Garland ISD to host informational meeting for community

(GARLAND ISD – October 14, 2013) Did you know that Garland ISD has 85 facilities, including 71 schools, an agriculture farm, two athletic stadiums, an events center and 10 administrative/support buildings? Would you like to know more about each one? GISD has partnered with Huckabee and Associates to conduct a comprehensive assessment of every district facility. The resulting data will serve as a guide for future repairs, bond elections and building projects, if needed.

GISD will host an informational meeting to share preliminary findings with the community. It will begin at 6:30 p.m Oct. 23, at the Curtis Culwell Center. Official assessment reports will be shared in December, including a prioritized list of facility needs and the costs associated.
