Superhero 5k to benefit neglected, abused children in Rockwall, Kaufman counties

(Rockwall/Kaufman Counties – October 31, 2013) Lone Star CASA will host its annual SUPERHERO 5K Race and Fun Run Saturday, November 2 at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium in Rockwall.  The annual race benefits neglected and abused children in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties.

Race day features a children’s fun run; a certified 5K run / walk; and children’s activities during the morning. Runners receive a race T-shirt and ribbons for age group winners. Food and refreshments are available to race participants.

Early adult registration fees are $25 and $15 for children.  Special fees are available for teams entering the race.  Runners may register on line or on race day at the stadium.  Runners registering early may pick-up their race packages at the Sports Authority store in Rockwall.  To register online go to lonestarcasa.org.

Race day check-in and late registration starts at 7 a.m. The race day starts with the Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m.  The 5K Run / Walk certified race begins at 9 a.m.; the race is followed by the awards presentation.
