Nebbie hosts Night of Thanks, chili cook-off winners recognized

ROCKWALL (November 20, 2013) On Thursday, November 21^st, the Nebbie Williams Elementary PTA hosted its annual Night of Thanks.

The evening, which included desserts, bingo and prizes, is the PTA’s way of saying thank you to all the Nebbie families who support the PTA and school throughout the year.

Chili Madelyn Woodliff 2 — Madelyn Woodliff and her grandfather, David McKee

This year the PTA added a chili cook-off to the night’s events.

Celebrity Judges, Principal Lisa Gielow, Tom Thumb Store Director Mark Evans, and Chef Cody Hayes head of RISD Culinary Arts Program, chose Hayden Johnson’s (4^th grader) You Can’t Touch This Chili as the Judge’s Favorite.

Kaley Cock, the kids’ choice judge chose Madelyn Woodliff’s (2^nd grader) 12^th Man Chili as the Kids’ Favorite.

The people’s choice award went to Mrs. Kimbrell’s 2^nd grade classes’ Moustache Chili.
