ROCKWALL/ROWLETT/ROYSE CITY (November 29, 2013) Rest Haven Funeral Homes and Memorial Park is once again offering a special way for families to honor the memory of their loved ones this holiday season.
Beginning Monday, December 2, 2013, Angel Wing Remembrance Trees and ornaments will be placed at each of the three Rest Haven Funeral Homes in Rockwall, Rowlett, and Royse City. The community is invited to stop by during regular business hours to personalize an ornament with a small picture or special written memory of their “remembered angel,” and place it on the tree.
Additionally, anyone who comes by to personalize an ornament at the Rockwall Chapel, between 4:00 – 6:00 pm on the first three Tuesdays in December, will be treated to “Cocoa and Comfort” with hot chocolate, cookies, and hugs and kisses from Rest Haven’s grief therapy dog, Candy Cain. “Missing a loved one can be especially difficult during the holidays,” said Dewayne Cain, President and Founder of Rest Haven Funeral Homes. “We understand, and we care.”
Rest Haven’s staff, and Candy Cain, will be serving up “Cocoa and Comfort” at the Rockwall Chapel only, on December 3rd, December 10th, and December 17th, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Regular hours to come and personalize an Angel Wing ornament at the Rockwall and Rowlett chapels are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 – 4:00, and on Saturday from 9:00 – 3:00. The hours to personalize an ornament at the Royse City chapel are Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 11:00. The trees will be displayed through December 22, 2013.
