Rockwall water polo player selected for Olympic Development Camp

ROCKWALL (December 4, 2013) Forrest Harbin, 12, of the Rockwall Water Polo Club was selected to represent the Southwest Zone in the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program’s Holiday Camp this December 12-16, 2013.

Forrest will travel to Colorado Springs where he will train with other athletes from across the USA at the Olympic Training Center.

He was nominated by club president Jim Hummingbird and selected by the Southwest Water Polo Zone committee to attend this prestigious camp.

“Forrest has really excelled quickly in this sport and you can see the excitement he has for it every time he’s in the pool,” said Hummingbird. “He was an easy nomination and I know he will represent Rockwall well.”

The USA Olympic Training Center is located in Colorado Springs, Co. Forrest won’t be a stranger to this area as his older sister, Haylie Harbin was signed on to the US Air Force Academy on a swimming scholarship. Congratulations to both on a job well done.
