Troop 2864 help provide Shoes for Orphan Souls
Toni Redfern, Sydney Tyler, Sierra Harrison, Gabi Andrade and Sidney Cantway experience what it's like to walk with no shoes.

ROCKWALL COUNTY (February 5, 2014) Troop 2864 volunteers time annually to Buckner Children’s Home – Shoes for Orphan Souls. They donate a portion of cookie profits (purchasing shoes) to Shoes of Orphan Souls, as well as volunteer a 3 hour shift processing shoes and socks that are shipped all over the U.S and the world.

The girls got to experience what children and adults from Peru, Ethiopia and Mexico experience while walking in their environment.

Did you know that children who do not own a pair of shoes in these countries are not allowed to attend school?  This was, to say the least, a powerful trip for the girls.

SHOES FOR ORPHAN SOULS® is the largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, a global Christian ministry dedicated to making life better for orphans, vulnerable children and families since 1879.
