ROCKWALL, TX (March 10, 2014) Rockwall-based United Elite Cheerleading is one of 500 gyms invited to compete in May at Walt Disney World, and they are raising money to cover their athletes’ registration feeds that total nearly $20,000.
The Summit National Championship is a prestigious competition created for the best cheer teams from across the country. Five hundred teams from 43 divisions had the exceptional skill, stamina and determination to compete at qualifying events in the 2013-14 season and get a bid – this represents only the top 10 percent of teams in the nation.
The young athletes are seeking community support and sponsors to allow them the opportunity to attend this competition.
