Black Hawk Robotics Team takes on the World Championships

ROCKWALL, TX (May 4, 2014) The Rockwall Heath Robotics team traveled to St Louis to compete in the FIRST Worlds Championships April 24-26.  Only 400 teams qualify for the Championships  out of over 6,000 teams world wide.  This is the third year in a row that the Black Hawk Robotics team have advanced to the World Championships.

At the competition, the team’s performance in the seeding rounds allowed them to be selected for the finals in their division.  Only 128 teams  teams at the championships make it to the finals. Black Hawk robotics fought hard but lost in the quarterfinals in a best of three series.  The match results were 176-192L, 205-132W and in the rubber match the team lost 153-146 after one of their alliance partner’s robot broke.
