LOOK UP!
ROCKWALL, TX (May 7, 2014) Friends Of Raymond Cameron Lake Park hosted a Family Kite Fly-In Sunday, May 4th at 2:00 at Raymond Cameron Lake Park in Rockwall.
Don Garner, kite enthusiast, brought several stunt kites to the family fly-in for a demonstration.
Family and friends from several neighborhoods attended the kite-fly in and now share a community memory of a good time outdoors. The older attendees reflected on bygone days when people looked up and outward instead of down at smart phones and displays. The younger ones delighted in the kites, ran around in unstructured play, and looked up at the kites in awe.
Friends of Raymond Cameron Lake Park will make this an annual event. You’re never too old or too young to look up to the skies for a happy memory.
