ROWLETT, TX (May 4, 2014) Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett was one of 10 Tenet Healthcare hospitals selected to receive the company’s Circle of Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding operational performance during 2013. LPMC also received the Patient Satisfaction Award, indicating five-star ratings from hospital patients.
The Circle of Excellence honors Tenet hospitals that have achieved the highest levels of quality, service and operational performance. Key metrics used to evaluate the hospitals were patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores, clinical quality and financial performance. The Patient Satisfaction Award was received as a result of excellent scores given by individuals who evaluated the hospital using the Tenet Patient Satisfaction Measurement System, which calculates overall patient approval ratings using various indicators, including doctor communication, responsiveness of staff, pain management, cleanliness and communication about medications.
“The hard work and commitment of the employees at Lake Pointe Medical Center made 2013 an excellent year,” said Britt T. Reynolds, Tenet’s president of hospital operations. “The staff and physicians at the hospital continue to build on their high-quality care and outstanding patient satisfaction. I’m proud of everything they have accomplished and am delighted to honor them with Tenet’s Circle of Excellence Award and the Patient Satisfaction Award.”
