Rockwall Meals on Wheels names Volunteer of the Month

ROCKWALL, TX (May 27, 2014) Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County is pleased to recognize Kim Lusk as its Spotlight Volunteer for May 2014.

Kim has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels Senior Services for the past four years. She is a busy mother of three children, ages 7, 14 and 15 who accompany her during school breaks and summer. She also sometimes brings her neighbor along.

When asked why she got involved she said she likes to volunteer and help others. She enjoys lifting spirits and seeing people smiling and happy. Kim considers it a privilege to serve others, especially seniors whose families may not always be there for them.

Kim started out as a fill in on routes and now delivers to seniors at The Evergreen Apartments every Friday.

In addition to volunteering for MOWSS, Kim also works for and does community work for her church and volunteers at Springer Elementary School.

Congrats to Kim for being chosen the Volunteer of the Month for May!
