FRIDAY, JUNE 27

ROYSE CITY FOURTH FEST

Celebrate with food &  festivities beginning at 6 p.m. at Royse City High School’s Bulldog Stadium, 700 FM 2642. Free live concert by Mark Chesnutt at 7:30. Fireworks at 9:30.

 

 

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 28

CADDO MILLS SUMMER CELEBRATION

Caddo Mills Chamber of Commerce presents an old-fashioned  Summer Celebration beginning at 10:30 a.m. Parade lineup starts at 10 a.m. at 1st & Greenville streets. Enjoy hot dogs, an Ice Cream Soda Shoppe, helium balloons, bounce house, face painting & more. Info: 214-524-1190.

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 29

HARBOR FREEDOMFEST 2014

The 4th Annual FreedomFest at the Rockwall Harbor will be 4 to 10 p.m., with Isabella Burzair on stage at 4 p.m.; Brittnee Belt from 5 to 7 p.m. & Gravity Feed from 7 to 9 p.m. See Uncle Sam on stilts, vendors, a kids creation station & fireworks set to music.

 

 

 

THURSDAY, JULY 3

SACHSE’S RED, WHITE & BLUE BLAST

The City of Sachse & Sachse Chamber of Commerce will host the 7th annual celebration at Heritage Park, beginning with a 6 p.m. parade & ending with fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. Enjoy live music, games, food, craft & business vendors.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 4

ROCKWALL PARADE

Leaving from RISD football stadium at 11 a.m., the Rockwall 4th of July Parade will turn right & head north on TL Townsend & Clark Streets to Dobbs Elementary. Participant lineup begins at 10 in RISD Aquatic Center parking lot. Best viewing: RISD Aquatic Center & Utley Middle School; Justin St. by Rockwall Co. Appraisal District Office; & under big shade trees lining Clark St.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 4

ROCKWALL FIREWORKS

Bring a picnic dinner to Harry Myers Park & enjoy live music from the Sean Haynes Band at 3:30 p.m., Watusi at 5:45 & Texas Cotton King from 8-9:30, followed by fireworks synchronized to music. Best viewing from Myers Park, Dobbs Elementary, Tuttle Athletic Complex and Rockwall ISD Education Center.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 4

RED, WINE & BLUE

Enjoy BBQ by Sean Lewis 6-7 p.m.& live music by Texez Mudd 7:30-10:30, sponsored by KIA of Rockwall, at KE Cellars Winery, 301 N. San Jacinto in Rockwall. Enjoy wine & watch the fireworks from the patio & yard.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 4

ROWLETT FREEDOM 5K ON MAIN

Run, walk or stroll & bring your pet to the 5K Run beginning at the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce, 3910 Main St, Rowlett. T-shirt & medal for registered runners. Race day registration & packet pickup at 7 a.m.; 5K begins at 8. (Packets may also be picked up 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 1 at Chamber). Sign up at rowlettchamber.com. ROWLETT FIREWORKS ON MAIN

Enjoy children’s activities, vendor booths, food & festivities beginning at 6 p.m. onMain Streetin Downtown Rowlett. Live music by Time Train & SheenaEaston. Fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. Parking at Coyle Middle School, Herfurth Park & downtown Rowlett DART Station. Shuttles will run from Rowlett High School to downtown beginning at 5.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 4

HEATH INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

Celebrate freedom at the City of Heath’s Annual Independence Day Parade followed by Popsicles in the Park. Staging is at 8 a.m.; judging & awards at 8:30; parade begins at 9 at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary, 330 Laurence Drive. Best Decorated Awards for Float; Bicycle; Wagon/Stroller; Golf Cart; Off-Road Vehicle; Kiddie Car & Antique Car; also Best Costume; Most Patriotic Pet; & Mayor’s Award. Veterans are invited to ride on the Veterans Float. *The intersection of Laurence Drive & FM 740/FM 1140 will be closed from about 9:15 to 9:45.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 5

WYLIE’S BLUEGRASS ON BALLARD

Join the fun in historic downtown Wylie onBallardAve & OldeCityParkfrom 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Arts & crafts, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Chili Cook-off, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Music: 3 to 10 p.m.; Car Show, 4 to 9 p.m.
