ROCKWALL, TX (October 21, 2014) The JER Chilton YMCA at Rockwall was honored during Monday’s City Council meeting as Rockwall Mayor David Sweet officially proclaimed Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 as JER Chilton YMCA Recognition Day in Rockwall.
The Y provides sports programs for over 2,300 local children annually, including its swimming program which teaches over 600 students every year. The Y also offers Angel Camp each year for children ages 6 to 8 with special needs. The Y also offers financial assistance for anyone unable to afford to participate in its programs or membership.
The JER Chilton YMCA is currently in the process of expanding its facility by adding an additional 12,000 square feet. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for November 20, 2014.
