ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (November 11, 2014) Students, teachers, staff and family of Amy Parks Heath Elementary are proud to be Mariners, but they are even more proud to be AMERICANS!
Today the APHE Mariners ate in the “Mess Hall,” survived “Boot Camp” and wrote letters to service men and women past and present.
They felt the truth behind the words as they sang precious songs of patriotism and national pride. Most importantly, APHE kids spent the day thinking about the profound effect that the sacrifices of others have had on the lives they live today.
APHE wishes to thank all of the veterans who joined them for their Veteran’s Day celebration. Their willingness to share their stories and bring history to life for students in a way that written words on the pages of a history book never could is just another example of how they continue to serve and inspire us all. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
