ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 15, 2015) Saraid Driskell was selected to be a Launch Cart recipient for the second year at Springer Elementary while integrating math, reading and science.
Students created/designed a travel map to demonstrate a better understanding of the Solar System. They identified the order of the planets, the distance from the Sun, as well as learned important information about our most important star. Using century 21 skills, the students published an interactive Expository Poem Book called, “If Ms. Driskell’s Class Could Travel to the Sun using Aurasma.” Through the use of authentic and rigorous learning, her students have gained clear understanding of how the sun impacts the solar system while becoming poetic authors!
