Rockwall Breakfast Rotary begins Flag Program

ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 16, 2015) The Rockwall Breakfast Rotary has begun The Stars and Stripes Flag Program to place US flags at residences and businesses in Rockwall County for seven national holidays each year. This past weekend was the first placement of flags for Presidents Day.

The Rotary Club is very proud to be assisted by the Venture Scouts of Rockwall in this effort. Their Troop Leader is Nigel McGregor and they consist of boys and girls from ages 14 to 21. This program helps these hard working young people earn their Scouting merit credits as they place the flags for the holiday and pick them up after each holiday.

The Stars and Stripes Flag Program is a community effort to encourage patriotism across the county. The Breakfast Rotary would like to cover the area with flags to demonstrate this county’s love for America and thankfulness for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
