ROCKWALL, TX (March 23, 2015) Marcel Clark, father of three and a 27 year employee of United Parcel Service has filed for Rockwall Independent School District Place 2.
Clark has lived in the community of Turtle Cove for 11 years and has a daughter who graduated from Rockwall High School in 2007, a son who graduated in 2014 from RHS, and currently a daughter who is a sophomore at RHS. His wife is a veteran Special Education teacher of 24 years and currently works at Pullen Elementary.
Clark believes that we need to listen to our teachers who are on the front line of teaching our students. He proposes a monthly meeting between the school board and a group of teachers from multiple campuses and levels. He believes if we listen to our teachers directly, we can enact policies best suited to educate our children; although, inputs from all employees who maintain the high quality of our district expectations are welcome. Finally, Clark also wants to ensure that we focus on all our students and that each one has the best chance to succeed. He is also a strong proponent of programs that reduce bullying and promote student awareness of each individual’s uniqueness.
Clark stated that “With input from our staff, a focus on our students’ well-being, and ensuring we provide education for all – we can take Rockwall ISD from a good school district to a great school district!”
