(ROCKWALL, TX – March 30, 2015) The Rock Wall Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution received multiple awards from state and national DAR representatives during its March 28 meeting at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Heath.
Saturday’s speaker was Joy Harrell Cardinal, Honorary State Regent of Mexico, Past Recording Sec. General, past NSDAR (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution), Chairman of Units Overseas. She is currently Chairman of NSDAR Tours Committee. Cardinal discussed the 23 DAR chapters around the globe.
After the global presentation, Mindy Lovell, Regent Rock Wall Chapter, presented State Conference certificates recognizing the Rock Wall Chapter’s work locally and nationally.
Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Sandra Sue Shelton Solomon, Rock Wall DAR member, for dedication and service as a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces at the DAR State Conference 2015. Note: Recognition of U.S. veteran.
The Texas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented a certificate of recognition to the Rock Wall Chapter First Place for the most DAR Youth Citizenship Medals by National Defense Committee at the State Conference 2015. Note: the Youth Citizenship Medals are awarded to students for their submission of patriotic themed papers.
The Texas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the Rock Wall Chapter for support of DAR Project Patriot Committee 2014 at the State Conference 2015. Note: Project Patriot supports our U.S. troops with gift packages of foods, supplies, and words of encouragement.
Rock Wall Chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month unless otherwise indicated. Time and location are designated. Guests are welcome!
