(ROYSE CITY, TX – August 11, 2015) The Royse City Chamber of Comerce’s FunFest 26 is going to be filled with things to do for all ages.
RunFest 5k will start the morning of October 17th off with a bang. Proceeds from RunFest will go toward restoring the historic Calaboose in downtown Royse City. Come downtown after the race and check it out!
Throughout the day there will then be Old West Gunfight Shows brought to you by Suddenlink; a Children’s Pageant sponsored by Stonebrook Academy; a Doggie Contest brought to you by Brushy Creek Retrievers; Vendors; Live Music; Pie Eating Contest; Truck Pull; Blood Drive; Mammography Mobile; Military Heritage Museum Display; and a HUGE KidsZone area!
This section will feature a Bungee Jump, Rock Wall, Rides & Inflatables, Train Ride, Pony Rides and more.
And don’t forget our newest addition from last year – Microfest! You are invited to Tap Into Royse City from 2:00-8:00pm near the water tower downtown Royse City. You will find your local favorite beers as well as ciders and a bit of wine. Under a large tent where three local bands will be performing the entire time, 20 beer brands will host over 60 styles to choose from. Here is how it works. Microfest will support a local non-profit – the Military Heritage Museum.
Get involved. Sponsorships are available. Learn more by contacting Julia Bryant at the Royse City Chamber of Commerce at 972-636-5000 or info@roysecitychamber.com or for Microfest by calling Daynor Stinson at 972-632-9723.
