(ROYSE CITY, TX – March 23, 2016) Art Club members from Royse City ISD’s Herndon Intermediate took a field trip to tour the International Pop Art Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art.
DMA Docents lead the group of 40 students on the tour, explaining the importance of different pieces of artwork and introducing students to the world of modern pop art. The art club then had a few minutes to choose their favorite artwork and make a sketch or write about it. After the tour, they spent time in C3, a studio like setting at the DMA which allows students to create their own pieces of art.
