(ROWLETT, TX – June 27, 2016) Kate is a senior, female Bassett Hound with a white coat and red and chestnut markings. Rose has been well loved in the past. She’s used to car rides and she’s quite the fashion-plate, with her multicolored toenail caps. She likes everyone and gets along well with other dogs. She has a soft, sweet howl and is a confident, happy companion. On a recent trip to the lake, she went kayaking on the lake like a pro! She loves treats of all kinds. In fact, she could probably stand to lose a pound or two. But a short walk each day and some care with her diet, she’ll be fit as a fiddle in no time.
Kate is heartworm negative and her adoption fee is only $25.
Mathis is a young Labrador Retriever mix. He is medium sized with a copper colored coat and brown eyes. Only one of his ears stands up, giving him the cutest expression. Mathis came to the shelter with another dog, Leela, who has found her forever home, and now he’s waiting for his own. Mathis sometimes startles at the things he sees and hears, but he recovers quickly with gentle words and handling. He experienced the lake for the first time this weekend and bravely checked out the water, wading in like pro. If you ask Mathis what his favorite treat is, he’d tell you, “Spray cheese, please!”
Mathis is heartworm negative, and because the shelter is full, his adoption fee is only $25.
Rose is an older, female Labrador Retriever mix. She has a thick, soft yellow coat and brown eyes. Rose loves every person and every dog she meets. Along with her sweet disposition, Rose has a nice, moderate energy level. She’d be happy with a daily walk for exercise and some afternoon siestas. She recently learned to sit and shake for treats. And on a recent outing to the lake, she took to the water like the retriever she is! She is not picky about her treats, and she loves human attention.
Rose is heartworm postive, but her treatment is sponsored by the Friends of Rowlett Animals. And Rose’s adoption fee is only $25.
