(FRISCO, TX – Nov. 23, 2016) Internationally renowned cellist Meredith Reddick, accompanied by local pianist and hospital employee Joan Simons, will perform at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the main lobby of Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center – Centennial, 12505 Lebanon Rd, Frisco, TX 75035.
Reddick has been playing the cello for 50 years, and performs on a German cello made by Hans Wundner in 1686. She is a soloist with Kalamazoo Symphony, Kalamazoo Junior Symphony, and Interlochen National Orchestra. She is a Bach Festival Competition winner, a Joseph E. Maddy Scholarship winner to Eastman School of Music, and she studied with Jacqueline DuPre in London, England. She is a professor of cello at Stetson University, and a member of a touring piano trio.
Simons has performed as an organist, pianist and accompanist at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, TX; Glen Ellyn Covenant Church in Glen Ellyn, IL; Redeemer Covenant Church in Carrollton, TX; Elim Covenant Church in Minneapolis, MN; Grace Covenant Church in Chicago, IL; North Park College, Chicago, IL; Minnehaha Academy in Minnehaha, MN.
