(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 25, 2017) HCA Eagle Theatre at Heritage Christian Academy in Rockwall presents “Smoke on the Mountain,” a rousing night of gospel music and southern comedy by Connie Ray, Alan Bailey, Mike Carver and Mark Hardwick.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.
“Smoke on the Mountain” takes you back to a Saturday night sing-a-long in North Carolina’s Smoky Mountain Baptist Church in 1938. The show features two dozen rousing bluegrass gospel songs played and sung by the Sanders Family, a traveling group making its return after a five -year hiatus.
As each family member shares an important life event, one thing after another goes awry and they reveal their true — and hilariously imperfect — natures, endearing themselves to us and allowing us to share in their triumphs.
The show features Cole Walker, Conally Webb, Travis Bomkamp, Wyatt Ashlock, Bryanna Davis, Emma Frank, Abbie Mayfield, Charlotte Stewart, Melinda White, Joy Thacker, and Ms. Charlotte Cochran.
The community is invited to come share a hilarious night of theatre. Tickets are $10 at HCA’s school office or at the door.
Heritage Christian Academy is located at 1408 S. Goliad St.
