Rockwall High student receives Gold Presidential Service Award for volunteering

Dr. Courtney Gober, RHS Principal, presents Brandon with award for volunteerism.

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 24, 2017) Brandon Taylor, a junior at Rockwall High, was awarded the Gold Presidential Service Award for his volunteering efforts in and around Rockwall.  The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a volunteer award program that encourages citizens to live a life of service.

While Brandon participated in several programs for volunteering, the majority of his time was spent spreading STEM.  Brandon earned his hours by being a robotics mentor to elementary and middle school students around Rockwall, participating in robotics summer camps through both the YMCA and ROCK as well as judging at local robotics competitions.  Brandon is a proud member of FRC Team 1296 – Full Metal Jackets (RHS Robotics team).
