Positive Pit Stop: Moms paint bathroom stalls with uplifting messages for students

(ROCKWALL, TX – August 16, 2018) Kathryn Howell and Jennifer Murray, with the help of stencils from The Wood Shoppe and donations from other moms, recently painted positive quotes on the bathroom stalls at Cain Middle School, to start the year off on a positive note.

“The principal Derrice Randle was kind enough to allow us to do this. He was very supportive and excited for us to make this happen,” Howell explained. “None of this would have been possible without the help of Matt and Sarah Arnett at The Wood Shoppe. Sarah helped us design the quotes, and Matt came and installed them for us. Several of the other moms also made monetary donations to go towards supplies and the stencils. It was truly a group effort.”

Other area schools have done similar projects, and Howell added that she hopes more schools will join in the effort, “showing students that even on a really bad day they are loved.”
