Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office investigating multiple burglaries of vehicles in McLendon-Chisholm

(MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, TX – Dec. 21, 2018) Overnight, the City of McLendon-Chisholm was affected by multiple burglary of a motor vehicle incidents. As you may know, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office is the City of McLendon-Chisholm’s law enforcement agency. Numerous vehicles were entered by unknown person(s), in which some vehicles were burglarized in the City’s jurisdiction overnight.

The City of McLendon-Chisholm wants to encourage everyone to lock their vehicles, day or night, and to take any valuables out of the vehicle. The majority of motor vehicle burglary reports taken are due to vehicles being unlocked or valuables being left in plain sight. YOur help with this matter will assist in curbing this unfortunate trend.

If your vehicle has been entered and you have not made a report, please contact the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 972-204-7001. Citizens are reminded to report suspicious activity. To assist our Law Enforcement Agency, any possible witnesses with information are encouraged to contact Rockwall County Dispatch. Citizens with recording equipment are encouraged to check their digital recording devices between the hours of 0300 and 0500.

Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols and are working diligently to gather information on possible suspects.
