(ROCKWALL, TX) On Feb. 29, the Lone Star Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. honored the members of the graduating class of 2020 (Ticktockers) for their successful completion of the NCL experience and requirements along with their commitment to the organization and the community.  The 27 Ticktockers represent the following high schools: Heritage Christian Academy, Rockwall-Heath High School, Rockwall High School, Sunshine Bible Academy and Ursuline Academy of Dallas.

Highlights of the celebratory formal event, which was held at the Omni Dallas Hotel, included individual presentation of each girl and her accomplishments, dinner and dancing, complete with the father-daughter waltz.  In addition, the ceremony included sentiments from their class president, the president of the NCL Lone Star Chapter, as well as a video presentation with a message from each Ticktocker.  Senior Presentation is a time-honored tradition which serves as the finale to six years of learning and charitable endeavors.  The young women of this class, along with their mothers, have collectively given 8078 hours to Rockwall County philanthropies during their time as members.

NCL is a non-profit organization comprised of mothers and daughters, with membership beginning when the girls are in seventh grade and continuing through their senior year in high school.  Currently, there are 272 chapters spread across 27 states and comprised of 73,000 members and over 200,000 alumnae.  The Lone Star chapter was chartered in 1983 as the first chapter in the state of Texas and has 300 members.  The mission of NCL is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.  The program facilitates sharing the joy of helping others, participation in meaningful activities and friendship, while growing together.
