ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 26, 2020) Earlier this month, members of Delta Kappa Gamma gathered for their first meeting since February. Although the meeting was held in person at the Rockwall County Library, members were provided the opportunity to join via Zoom.
New members Chea Ward, Kory Turner, Shannon Carmody, and Julie Byrnes were officially inducted and sworn in as Delta Kappa Gamma members.
Sherry Packer shared about her partnership with the Rockwall Fire Department to sell t-shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Money raised from the t-shirt sales will go to a Rockwall resident, Lisa Luff, who is fighting cancer.
Delta Kappa Gamma Society is a professional honor society for key women educators. Rockwall’s chapter, Texas Lambda Upsilon, is led by President Sherry Packer and Vice President Debbie Smothermon.
