You may ask yourself “what is a Winter Warmer anyway?” and walk on past it for something more familiar. Well my friends, Winter Warmer is actually a seasonal style of beer that goes perfectly with cooler fall/winter weather. They are typically rich, malty and sweeter tasting (some can be dry) ales with a higher ABV% (alcohol by volume). The higher alcohol content gives you that warming sensation in the back of your throat, spreading throughout your core like being snuggled up by the fireplace.
Sometimes these beers have different spices in them such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom that embrace that festive holiday experience.
