Rockwall County Commissioners Court recognizes retiring Sheriff, County Clerk

ROCKWALL, TX – December 22, 2020 — During their regular meeting this morning, the Rockwall County Commissioners Court recognized retiring Sheriff Harold Eavenson and County Clerk Shelli Miller for their years of service to the community.

Eavenson served for 20 years as the Rockwall County Sheriff, and a total of nearly 60 years in law enforcement. Miller served as the County Clerk for almost a decade.

“I owe a debt of gratitude to the citizens in this county for having the confidence in me to elect me for five terms,” Eavenson said. “The last 20 years serving as Sheriff has been an incredible experience for me, it has been good in so many ways, and I have no regrets. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve the citizens of this county.”
