ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 15, 2021 – A Novena for Life sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Lake Council 9337, Rockwall, TX, will be held from January 21, 2021 to January 29, 2021 to pray for a culture of life and civilization of love in our community, nation, and world. The novena will begin with a Rosary at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 1905 Damascus Road, Rockwall, at 5 p.m. and end on January 29, 2021 at 5 p.m. with a Rosary at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
A novena is a period of sustained prayer over nine days for a particular intention. Community members are encouraged to pray in their homes on each of the nine days of the novena.
The particular intention of this novena is life, especially for the tens of thousands of pro-life citizens who will march in Washington D.C. on January 30th, in peaceful protest of the landmark abortion decision of the Supreme Court 47 years ago that continues to be an injustice to the most vulnerable, the unborn.
The protection of life is a sustained prayer intention of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. A Novena for Life is meant to bring Knights of Columbus and parish families together in a spiritual battle to lead their communities, through both public and private acts of prayer, to ensure a culture of life in our nation. All members of the community are welcome to join us!
Council 9337 in Rockwall, TX is one of 17,000 Knights of Columbus councils that make up the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization.
