Rowlett, Texas (April 25, 2021) The Rowlett Area Chamber & Visitors Center Board of Directors voted to support the City of Rowlett Community Investment Bond Election ballot propositions on the May 1, 2021 ballot. The Board of Directors discussed the propositions during their regular monthly meeting on April 21, 2021. The unanimous vote in favor of supporting the propositions indicated their strong support for the each of the propositions.
Each of the propositions were carefully reviewed and debated on by the Community Investment Advisory Board – a task force comprised of Rowlett citizens. Proposition A is for critical infrastructure projects desperately in need of repair and includes roads and drainage in residential and commercial districts. Projects in Proposition B will improve the quality of life for all Rowlett residents and business owners with major upgrades and improvements to our park system. Finally, Proposition C significantly improves our Public Safety by replacing an outdated emergency warning system and adding a joint police/fire station in the growing Sapphire Bay business district.
The Chamber Board of Directors encourages all eligible citizens to Vote Yes on Propositions A, B, and C!
