Rockwall High School Stingerette Senior Showcase: Alyssa Balderas

ROCKWALL, TX (June 2, 2021) Our latest Stingerette Senior Showcase is Miss Alyssa Balderas.
She is the daughter of Jorge and Callie Balderas.

Alyssa is a three-year member of the Stingerettes where she currently is the 1st Lieutenant and also serves as New Girl Sergeant. She was also Top 5 at line tryouts in 2018.

Alyssa is also a three-year member of the Elite team, Showstoppers, as well as Kick Company, and the Hip-Hop Company. She was also a member of Tap Company in 2019.

For her Senior year, her teammates voted her Miss High Kick 2021.

In Alyssa’s Junior year, she served as a Junior Varsity Instructor and was selected as Positive Polly and Most Flexible. In her sophomore year, she was named Stingerette of the Week as well as Stingerette Spirit Girl. Alyssa’s Freshman year, she was a Lieutenant on the Jacket Babe Junior Varsity Team.

Along with her team, Alyssa performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2019 and also performed in South Padre in 2018. As part of the Stingerette Team and Elite team in 2019, the Stingerettes achieved the title of ADTS National Champions.

As a soloist, Alyssa achieved many accolades. She was named as a Solo Finalist at Marching Auxiliaries in 2021, Showtime International, ADTS, Crowd Pleasers, and Marching Auxiliaries again in 2020. At the a ADTS 2018 competition, Alyssa was awarded the Overall High Kick winner and was asked to participate at a Disney Orlando performance as well as the Macys Parade.

Alyssa is also a three year member of the Dance FX Studio Seniors competition team.

She plans to attend the University of North Texas and pursue a degree in Psychology.
