Rockwall Hometown Christmas festivities set for Dec. 3

ROCKWALL, TX (Nov. 10, 2022) Hometown Christmas in Historic Downtown is part of a day-long celebration in Rockwall. The Downtown Rockwall Association sponsors Hometown Christmas and invites everyone downtown for a fun-filled afternoon for the entire family.

Enjoy a Christmas Market in San Jacinto Plaza for festive food basket fills, like artisan chocolate, pecans, pound cakes, dips and more. Kids activities include bounce houses, games, crafts, giveaways, a snow play area, train rides and more. Downtown festivities run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Begin your day with the 53rd annual parade, which is themed “Happiness is…” The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the Rockwall County Courthouse, 1111 E. Yellowjacket, and ends in Historic Downtown, where the heart of downtown will be decked out for the Christmas festivities.

Then in the evening, celebrate Rockwall’s 39th annual Christmas tree lighting 6 to 8 p.m. on the lawn of City Hall, 385 S. Goliad, with holiday crafts, free cookies from Rockwall Women’s League, coffee and hot chocolate bar, live music by Steve Story Band, and Santa.
