Free, community drive-in event to feature Home Alone

ROCKWALL, TX (Dec. 6, 2022) The community is invited to Helms Hope’s 3rd annual Drive-In at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 in the Lakepointe Church parking lot. The movie Home Alone will played on a 60′ tall screen; there will be a photo booth and food trucks – and admission is free.

Ruthie’s – specialty grilled cheese sandwiches for a good cause.

Popcorn Papa – a Rockwall staple that now has a trailer to bring all the popcorn and cotton candy you could want.

Rollin Beans Coffee Co. – back again this year, Rollin’ Beans will be serving delicious specialty hot and cold drinks like hot chocolate, coffee, and lattes.

Helms Hope is a small, Rockwall-based skin cancer nonprofit that was started in honor of Shawn Helms Jr. Shawn passed away at the young age of 21 from melanoma in July of 2019.

The organization’s mission is to bring awareness to the severity of skin cancer, educate on the importance of prevention, and enable innovative early detection. More information on Helms Hope and our goal of ending skin cancer deaths can be found on their website and on their socials.

This year will be our third annual community drive-in. In years past it was held in the the student parking lot of Rockwall-Heath High School, but was relocated this year due to construction.
