Why caregivers should confront, not avoid, a Dementia diagnosis

Why caregivers should confront, not avoid, a Dementia diagnosis

ROCKWALL, TX (April 11, 2023) Should we confront our relative’s memory deficits or poor reasoning or avoid bringing them up? With recent scientific advances, there may be more reasons to raise concerns that a parent’s or spouse’s thinking skills seem to be declining.

In this workshop by a psychologist, author, and healthcare consultant Barry J. Jacobs, Psy.D., we’ll weigh the pros and cons of confronting vs. avoiding and discuss how to discuss these issues with others gently and lovingly.

This is a free, online event presented by the WellMed Charitable Foundation, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.
