Rockwall’s Royce Vega, 9, wins big in world’s largest Pro Kart Race on Las Vegas Speedway

ROCKWALL, TX (Nov. 22, 2023) The Las Vegas Speedway recently hosted what is touted as the biggest Pro Kart race in the world ~ Skusa (Superkarts USA) SuperNats 26. The event, held Nov. 8-12, drew more than 50+ nationalities with over 500 drivers, including the youngest driver in the mini swift class – Rockwall’s own Royce Vega, age 9, competing against 48 of the best drivers in the world.

Vega consistently kept himself in the top three during qualifying and all three heats. In Sunday’s main event, Vega would start from pole position. Twenty laps saw  the young rookie display his skills, patience, and never-quit-attitude, which awarded him with the breathtaking win of the biggest kart race in the globe.

Vega has been driving and competing since he was 4 years old, raking up multiple wins and podiums all over the US with a focus goal of an Indy car seat.
