Krause’s extensive involvement in the community spans several significant roles. Notably, serving on the Heath City Council and held the position of Mayor Pro-Tem in 2019. His dedication extends to the Heath Park Board since 2016, the Rockwall County Republican Party Precinct Chair since 2014, and the Rockwall County Library Advisory Board since 2021. Beyond these roles, Krause has been actively engaged in various committees and pivotal positions, including the Heath Board of Adjustments, Comprehensive Plan Committees, and Chairman of the 2010 Census Committee. He has lent his expertise to critical initiatives such as the Rockwall ISD Bond Election Steering Committee, Rockwall County Grand Jury, and Leadership Rockwall. Furthermore, Krause contributed significantly as Vice President of Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club and maintains active involvement in critical organizations like the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce, Children’s Advocacy Center, Meals On Wheels, and multiple GOP clubs.
Drawing upon his rich experience and proven track record, Krause aims to channel his extensive understanding and conservative values into continuing to serve the citizens of Rockwall County as County Commissioner. “For 14 years, I’ve been walking the talk and achieving what others merely promise.”
With a distinguished 38-year career in reconnaissance and anti-terrorism aircraft, Krause brings a wealth of expertise in program management, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration to his candidacy. Beyond his extensive career, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Human Relations/Business Management. Complementing his formal education, Krause has completed 60 hours of Texas Municipal League training, demonstrating his commitment to ongoing professional development. Notably, graduating as one of only 62 individuals attending the Texas Municipal League Leadership Academy in 2014, further solidifying his dedication to cultivating leadership and governance.
A staunch advocate for sound fiscal policies, Krause champions the effective tax rate implementation to ensure citizens’ tax bills remain consistent amidst changing property values, safeguarding them from undue financial burdens caused by new developments. “Serving our community remains my top priority, and since retirement, I have even more to give,” Krause emphasizes his commitment to advocating for high-quality, sustainable development and combatting overcrowding issues that erode the county’s charm and vitality.
