The juvenile admitted to posting the comment but claimed he had no intention of carrying out the threat. Officers were able to check the residence and found no evidence of explosive materials or non-secured firearms in the home. The juvenile has been charged with Terroristic Threat.

The Royse City Police Department works closely with the RCISD Administration and Security team whenever any threat to a school or specific group is made. We are asking parents to speak with their children and explain that any comment that threatens the safety/security of our students and staff will be taken seriously and can result in severe consequences including school discipline and/or criminal prosecution.
