Royse City ISD aims high for the future

Royse City ISD Superintendent, Dr. Amy Anderson, addresses district strategic plan

Royse City, TX (December 6, 2024) – An aspirational plan for the future. On Monday, December 2, 2024, Superintendent Dr. Amy Anderson and a committee of 40 convened to begin the important work of the development of a new strategic plan for Royse City ISD. The district has partnered with Moak Casey, a consulting firm, to develop a five year plan that will focus on student success, staff, relationships and stewardship.

“Royse City ISD has a history in successful development and execution of strategic plans. These steps towards the creation of our next plan are immensely important as we dream big for the future,” said Dr. Anderson. “The committee represents board members, parents, alumni, civic partners, staff, community members, faith leaders and most importantly, students. This collective of important voices will result in a plan to propel Royse City ISD to new heights.”

The process of strategic plan development includes thought sessions and discussions with the school board, cabinet leadership team and the community advisory committee. Potential outcomes of this plan include a refined vision, mission and belief statements. With those in mind, the school board will eventually adopt a plan with goals, strategies, action steps, and defined outcomes.

Previous strategic plans that were adopted in 2012 and 2017 are now complete and operational. Some outcomes of those plans include higher teacher pay, an employee daycare center, technology integration in learning, associate degrees for students, community engagement programs, and more.

Royse City ISD will provide updates on the development of the strategic plan at https://www.rcisd.org/o/rcisd/page/strategic-planning. You can also find a list of committee members and access to previous strategic plans.
