ROCKWALL, TX (July 1, 2025) – The City of Rockwall is moving forward with an exciting renovation project at Gloria Williams Park, made possible through a valuable partnership initiated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas.
Thanks to the efforts of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas CEO, Jenny Krueger—who has worked over the past several months to build a strong relationship with the Comebaq Court team and Icy Hot®—the Club successfully secured a grant to bring an official Shaquille O’Neal Comebaq Court to Rockwall. Since 2021, Icy Hot, an Opella brand, has launched Comebaq Courts in Las Vegas, Newark, Miami, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, providing rehabilitated basketball courts and other spaces for future athletes to play and work towards their goals.
The City of Rockwall will oversee all contractor coordination, project management, and permitting. Following completion, the Parks and Recreation Department will collaborate with the Boys & Girls Club to bring the court and the Mobile Clubhouse to life through organized programming and community events.
