HomeBank Texas joins Rockwall YMCA in vision for growth

Celebratory gathering at Culpepper Cattle Co. highlights $500,000 gift and inspires community support

ROCKWALL, TX (Sept. 2, 2025) – Community and business leaders gathered in the lounge at Culpepper Steakhouse ahead of Labor Day weekend to celebrate a milestone relationship between HomeBank Texas and the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall.

HomeBank owner and chairman of the board Mark Andrews shared the good news: the locally owned community bank donated a transformative gift of $500,000 to the YMCA’s $5.2 million capital campaign, securing naming rights to the Y’s natatorium.

“We believe in investing in organizations that uplift lives, foster connection, and strengthen communities,” Andrews said. “By making this early and significant commitment, we hope to inspire others to join us in bringing the YMCA’s vision for growth and accessibility to life.”

Kathryn Allen, Senior Vice President/Chief Development Officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, also addressed the gathering, outlining expansion plans that will directly benefit Rockwall area families—renovations to the aquatic center, a new group exercise studio, and an expanded parking lot to improve accessibility and capacity.

The YMCA’s growth comes at a critical time, as Rockwall County remains one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation. Harold Young, District Executive Director of the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA, emphasized the impact of HomeBank’s generosity: “Our commitment to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body starts with high-quality programming. Their contribution allows us to deliver enhanced resources and services, and is a vital part of a broader vision to provide what our community needs and deserves. HomeBank’s support in our mission will create opportunities that might not have been possible otherwise.”

Guests enjoyed a buffet of Culpepper favorites and cocktails as the room rallied around a shared vision: expanding the Y’s capacity to serve more neighbors, from swim lessons to wellness programs and beyond.

Since 1975, the YMCA has been a Rockwall County cornerstone for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. HomeBank Texas—locally owned and community-focused, with locations in Rockwall, Dallas, and Seagoville—recently opened its new corporate headquarters in Seagoville, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to thoughtful growth, local leadership, and hometown service. Andrews and the leadership team hope the bank’s early investment will inspire additional community support to bring the YMCA’s plans to life for generations to come.
